Above all else, The Trans Group is committed to the health, safety, and wellbeing of its passengers and employees. This is particularly true as the region faces increasing concern over coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). We recognize its threat as serious and have taken the following steps to help prevent its spread.

We are implementing comprehensive, aggressive cleaning and disinfecting protocols on all our buses and our facilities. On a daily basis, our enhanced cleaning procedures include the use of a broad-spectrum disinfectant on every high-touch surface within our buses. The disinfectant we are using has proven successful fighting a range of viruses, including SARS associated coronavirus.

We have also posted and distributed CDC sanitary precautions for our drivers and other employees throughout our facilities and yards. These guidelines emphasize the need to wash hands with soap and water, use hand sanitizer, cover one’s mouth and nose with a tissue or sleeve when sneezing or coughing, and stay home from work when feeling sick.

Officers of The Trans Group have continually monitored health alerts from the CDC and New York State and are attending federal and state meetings centered on the prevention and containment of coronavirus. We are also sharing best practices with other school transportation providers. During this difficult period we are sparing no effort to safeguard the wellbeing of our riders, drivers, and the school districts we so proudly serve.
